In Our Mother’s Gardens is a visual journey that celebrates and examines the strength and resiliency of Black women and Black families, specifically relationships between of mothers and daughters. I worked intensely with Director and Cultural Curator, Shantrelle P. Lewis, over 2 years, during a pandemic, to bring the complex, beautiful and brilliant stories to life. The film was acquired and distributed by Array Films and was released on Netflix on Mother’s Day, 2020.
