Good Mirrors Aren't Cheap - An Abstract Documentary Hybrid presented at NYU’s 2019 Black Portraiture Conference
Directed by Genel Ambrose, this short film asks and answers the following questions through a collection of interviews with black and brown women: How does society’s reluctance to acknowledge black women - our stories, our contributions, and positive images – impact our self preservation and the public memory of who we are and who we can become? How can we employ technology and media to collect and archive an unbiased memory of black narratives and images?
