Niq Lewis

Niq is an award winning film editor based in Los Angeles, by way of Brooklyn NYC, whose work has screened at Blackstar Film Festival platformed on Bloomberg Shorts, LA Times Short Docs, Netflix, Appletv and Prime.

Niq’s first feature documentary, "In Our Mothers' Gardens," was directed by Shantrelle P. Lewis and won the Star Award at Blackstar film festival ‘21, was acquired by ARRAY films, and released on Netflix. Her most recent work, “Planetwalker,” directed by Dom and Nadia Gill, won Best Artistic Vision at Big Sky Film Festival, the Audience Award at Blackstar Film Festival, and was Oscar Shortlisted.

She has a background working across film genres - from politics, sports, branded content, to social justice advocacy - using elements like art, animation and design to compose documentary and narrative films.
